NOW HIRING: Head Volleyball Coach
 Martin County West High School

Martin County West High School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Head Volleyball Coach to lead and grow our volleyball program. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program and fostering a positive, competitive, and student-centered athletic environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the entire volleyball program, including varsity, JV, and developmental levels
  • Designing and implementing effective practice plans and game strategies
  • Managing, mentoring, and evaluating assistant coaches
  • Developing athletes' volleyball skills, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship
  • Building a strong, inclusive team culture that reflects school and community values
  • Ensuring athlete eligibility and compliance with school, conference, and MSHSL policies
  • Communicating effectively with athletes, parents/guardians, administration, and staff
  • Overseeing athlete safety, injury prevention, and overall development on and off the court
  • Completing required administrative and organizational duties in a timely manner
  • Supporting and coordinating offseason volleyball opportunities, including Junior Olympics, camps, and other development programs
  • Promoting academic success, character development, and positive citizenship

Qualifications:

  • Volleyball coaching experience preferred
  • Have or ability to obtain MN head coach licensure
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to athlete development and program growth
  • Ability to collaborate with school administration and activities staff
  • Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and program-building

Stipend amount starting at $4650 based on years of experience.
