Job description

Harvey Vogel is a leading provider of high-quality metal stamping solutions. We pride ourselves on our commitment to precision, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Join our dynamic team and contribute to our success!

Are you organized, detailed oriented, and ready to play a crucial role in our logistics operation? We're seeking a Shipping Clerk at our Woodbury location to handle incoming and outgoing shipments. The hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.

As a Shipping Clerk, you'll be responsible for:

Assurance that correct quantities are documented for incoming and outgoing shipments documenting any overages or shortages

Processing orders for customers based on shipping and customer requirements.

Completing UPS/FedEx/LTL documents to company/customer requirements

Pulling product from warehouse shelves, banding, shrink wrapping and other duties to get product ready to ship.

Reading process sheet to determine customer packaging and shipping instructions

Preparing labels for boxes/palletized items

Contacting common carriers and schedule pick ups

Working closely and communicating clearly with customer service

Entering shipping information into customer portals

Qualifications needed:

Computer skills, must be proficient with MS Office products, Word/Excel/Outlook

Must be comfortable learning new software programs / customer portals

Capable of operating a fork truck

Available to work full time (40 hours/week) on 1st shift, meeting attendance requirements

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to read and interpret documents such as job cards and other various documents.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Must be able to read Work Instructions and take verbal instruction regarding processes that have yet to be documented

Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
