Vmware VDI Consultant
Pleasanton CA (Hybrid)
VMware VDI Consultant for VMWare technologies specialising in VDI (VMware Horizon), capable of architecting, designing VDI solutions and implementing them. Experience with delivering VDI for large enterprise scale environments.
Must have skills:
  • VMware NSX
  • VMware Aria (Operations Manager, Log Insight, Network Insight)
  • VMware vCenter / vSphere / VSAN
  • VMware Horizon
  • VMware App Volumes
  • VMware Dynamic Environment Manager
  • Unified Access Gateway
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10 / Windows 11 and optimizing for VDI and creating golden images
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with delivering implementation and performing upgrades in production environments
  • Understanding of Workspace ONE Access

Qualities:
  • Good team player with excellent communications skills, capable of owning issues, resolving them and performing root cause analysis.
  • Being the subject matter expert and advisor to customers in making the right choices
  • Being proactive in making suggestions and recommendations to customers for improving a production VDI infrastructure.
  • Ability to work with operations teams and guide and assist them through delivering changes
  • Documenting detailed change and implementing them
  • Providing accurate estimates for effort in performing implementation and changes and delivering these timelines.
