US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoW intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Position affords the opportunity to mentor others and grow professionally both on your own and as part of a team.

As part of the Service Center West Operations Team, you'll be charged with maintaining service availability levels for multiple servers located in main data centers and remote locations across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the functionality, efficiency, and security of infrastructure providing critical services to customers across the globe in the air, on land, and at sea.
  • Apply DISA STIG settings and patch OS/applications as required.
  • Provision elevated and service accounts.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Mentor and learn from other team members.
  • May perform supervisory duties.
  • Interact with end users as required and evaluate vendor products.
  • Make recommendations to alter architecture of software and hardware to adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Develop policies and standards for performing complex builds and everyday tasks.
  • May write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.
  • May develop and implement testing strategies and document results.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and learn new technologies as assigned.
  • May be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.
  • May be required to perform duties outside of normal day shift hours.
  • The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (may substitute additional years of experience)
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Experience Windows infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS. Authentication, Active Directory, and connectivity troubleshooting) required.
  • Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers, databases, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • May be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
  • Must meet DoW 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges and must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
  • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.

The likely salary range for this position is $124,093 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
