26-191 - System Test Analyst
JOB SUMMARY:
The System Test Analyst supports the planning, execution, and analysis of Missile Defense System (MDS) ground tests, flight tests, cyber tests, and operational events in support of the program. This role is responsible for evaluating system performance, validating compliance with test objectives and specifications, supporting discrepancy resolution efforts, and developing analysis tools to support mission success. The analyst collaborates with Government customers, development teams, and external analysis organizations to assess system behavior during integration, testing, and real-world operations.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Conduct analysis of program performance during integration, ground tests, flight tests, and real-world events
• Support planning and execution activities for MDS ground and flight tests
• Verify system compliance with specifications, ICDs, and other technical requirements
• Validate system performance against MDS and program test objectives in support of mission data reviews and fielding decisions
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities during system-wide discrepancy resolution efforts
• Develop, modify, and implement analysis tools and scripts
• Collaborate with FFRDC and other MDS analysis organizations during test and operational analysis efforts
• Coordinate with Execution Leads, Data Managers, program leadership, and Government customers
• Support the National Team Chief Analyst
• Serve as backup Data Manager as needed
• Support analysis activities across pairwise tests, Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI), Integrated Ground Tests (GTI), Distributed Ground Tests (GTD), cyber tests, Space Domain Awareness (SDA) activities, and HWIL efforts
• Participate in analysis efforts supporting predetermined sensor and shooter configurations during flight
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or MATLAB
• Bash or similar scripting experience
• Ability to autonomously develop analysis tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with Government customers and internal/external program personnel
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System (MDS), including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks
• Prior analysis experience supporting the program and/or other MDS elements
• Experience analyzing complex message-based systems
• Experience with message sets including Link-16, ATOMS, VMF, BSX, or similar protocols
• Experience developing and automating Data Management processes, scripts, and tools
EDUCATION: Bachelors with 9+ or Master with 7+ Years of Experience
LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site in Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, CO
CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT: Secret
DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II within 60 days of start
