Reporting Developer II - Data Visualization in  GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

This position supports the Customer Support Operations Research team and is ideal for candidates who excel at transforming complex operational data into clear, compelling visualizations and actionable business insights for stakeholders across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong data visualization and dashboard design skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders

 PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience applying data visualization best practices and information design principles.
  • Portfolio demonstrating effective data storytelling, dashboard design, or business insight communication.
  • Experience with predictive analytics or translating statistical findings into business recommendations.
  • Experience with basic RDBMS concepts (Oracle or SQL Server) and SQL development.
  • Microsoft Power BI Certification (DA-100 or equivalent).


 

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 3 years relevant business/technical experience. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience. Position Purpose: This is a data and analytics development role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization for the Enterprise Reporting team. This role directly supports the suite of Gulfstream Enterprise Reporting applications. Responsible for developing requirements, solution development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise reporting solutions.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Engages stakeholders and technology users in identifying, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  2. Assists with defining test conditions and comprehensive test plans.
  3. Ensures applications processes are followed consistently and are in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, etc.
  4. Performs normal administration tasks and system maintenance for reporting and data analytics applications and solutions.
  5. Under general supervision prepares requirements, specifications, and business process maps.
  6. Documents, develops, tests, deploys, and supports reporting and data analytics development using a variety of technical tools in support of business requirements.
Additional Functions:
  1. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings concerning specific projects or other activities. .
  2. Participates in design reviews for implementation projects. .
Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (SDLC).
  2. Experience in conducting testing including design and execution of test cases.
  3. Demonstrated capability to understand data structures and create effective visualizations and reports that drive business insight and value.
A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
