Manager, Interior Design Visualization Team
Position Overview
Shaw Industries is seeking a Project Manager to lead our Interior Design Visualization/ Concept Team to lead the intake, prioritization, quality control, and delivery of commercial interior flooring visualization projects that help our commercial sales teams win specifications and close business. This role leads a team of visualization/concept designers and coordinates closely with sales, interior designers, clients, and external vendor partners to ensure room scenes, layouts, and rendering deliverables are accurate, on brand, technically sound, and delivered with speed. The ideal candidate brings a background in commercial interior design and visualization, along with the project management discipline to manage high request volume, make smart decisions on workflow and resource allocation, and elevate the quality and impact of a design service that directly supports growth across Shaw's commercial flooring brands Shaw Contract and Patcraft. This role is based in Cartersville, GA and works in a hybrid way with 3 days / week required in office.
Responsibilities:
Project & Workflow Management + Process Optimization
  • Serve as the centralized communication point for customers, sales, and internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee vendor relationship management and external workstream integration to ensure alignment with internal standards, while optimizing project routing across internal and external teams to improve completion ratios and overall workflow efficiency.
  • Manage all internal and external visualization requests, including scope, review timelines, resources, quality, and feedback. Prioritize, expedite, and escalate projects accordingly.
  • Leverage internal resources and external partnerships to prioritize projects based on commercial strategy.
  • Ensure quality control of visualization deliverables and provide guidance on required revisions.
  • Champion with a consultative, solution-oriented approach throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate with designers and digital partners to align solutions with brand intent and client expectations.
  • Develop processes and tools to improve team efficiency and support sales/end users.

Reporting, Insights & Trends
  • Provide brand-specific data, trends, and insights through monthly status reports.
  • Align and implement reporting practices; enhance systems to track metrics (in partnership with Interior Design Studio Manager).
  • Evaluate and enhance the team's processes and services to meet market demands and identify future opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
  • Collaborate with interior designers, visualization designers, and digital partners to ensure solutions meet brand and client expectations.
  • Partner across teams to ensure processes, tools, and deliverables support broader commercial goals and strategy.
  • Onboard and train sales team members (in partnership with Interior Design Studio Manager).

Team Leadership, Coaching & Development
  • Coach and develop 3 direct reports using PX as a leadership framework.

  • Onboard and train Visualization Designers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree of Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial interior design experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Enscape and CAD preferred
  • Ability and willingness for US travel up to 25%
  • Ability and willingness to work in a hybrid way at the Create Centre, Cartersville GA campus 3-5 days a week depending on the needs of the business, travel schedule and collaboration focus.

Highly preferred experiences and skills:
  • 5-8 years in commercial interiors / visualization / design project management
  • Experience reviewing work and files in Revit / CAD / Enscape / Adobe
  • Experience coordinating external production partners or offshore vendors

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable team player
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
