What You'll Do

The Visual Merchandise Planner: Special Projects role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing detailed store floor plans using AutoCAD. We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD user who can translate business requirements into accurate, scalable floor plan solutions and confidently develop technical drawings with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

You will use AutoCAD as your primary tool to develop, maintain, and revise store floor plans and layout concepts. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will ensure drawings are accurate, executable, and aligned with project objectives while supporting Visual Merchandising initiatives and broader company programs.

  • Use AutoCAD LT to create and manage floor plans, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Plan effective store layouts and fixture placement to support the customer experience.
  • Ensure drawing accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established standards across all projects.
  • Maintain store profile spreadsheets and project-related documentation.
  • Present layouts to cross-functional partners and adjust based on feedback or product changes.
  • Produce Visual Directive Guides using AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, and Relex for field execution.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication to ensure on-time execution.
  • Visit stores post-execution to evaluate layouts, validate customer flow, and document learnings for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in product development and planning meetings to advocate for Visual Merchandising needs and evaluate space implications.

Work Location: Hybrid role based in Alameda, CA, with inoffice presence as required by business needs.

Experience & Skills You'll Bring

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD LT required. Candidates should have hands-on experience creating, editing, and managing detailed technical drawings and floor plans.
  • Visual merchandising experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Strong spatial visualization and 3D thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Relex Space Planning is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.

CA Pay Range is $75,000 to $80,000 annually
