What you'll get to do:

  • Interfacing with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and customer representatives.

The Oceanic System Quality and Mission Assurance team is looking for a candidate with experience in evaluating a variety of purchased and internally manufactured components, to determine if drawing/ specification requirements are met. The candidate must be able to utilize inspection equipment and procedures to determine pass/fail evaluations.

The position also includes ensuring the inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated and environmental conditions are adequate for inspection processes including lighting, cleanliness, and availability of documentation and tools.

Basic Qualifications for the INSPECTOR A:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of inspection or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with reading and understanding mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using calibrated measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Experience in visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tightly tolerance piece parts, subassemblies, and final assembly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Active Secret Clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,460.00 - $112,670.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
