Job description

ASR is seeking experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Inspectors to ensure contractor implementation of an effective Quality Control program and verify that all work is in strict compliance with contract documents on construction, alteration, and repair projects at the USSS James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC) in Laurel, MD.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop a project-specific Construction QA Plan for each project, including inspection, testing, reporting procedures, and plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors.
โ€ข Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work complies with the contract; request correction of any deficiencies.
โ€ข Prepare and submit daily written QA reports recording all discussions with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies - submitted within 48 hours.
โ€ข Participate in pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan.
โ€ข Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor.
โ€ข Support work some nights and weekends as project schedule dictates.
โ€ข Maintain โ‰ค 2 missed deficiencies per quarter (AQL).
Qualifications:
โ€ข 10+ years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
โ€ข Knowledge of software including Microsoft Office and construction inspection/reporting platforms, among others.
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
โ€ข Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
โ€ข Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, able to pass a background check, and able to obtain and maintain a PIV card and the required suitability determination (Tier 1 or Tier 4 as required by position designation).
โ€ข USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification. (Preferred)
โ€ข OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification. (Preferred)
โ€ข Government contracting experience, particularly with DHS, USSS, USACE, or NAVFAC. (Preferred)
