Job description

TBest Services Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support one of our clients in the electronics manufacturing industry located in Elkridge, MD.
This role is responsible for supporting the quality assurance process by performing in-process and final inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical products, verifying compliance with engineering specifications, documenting inspection results, identifying non-conformances, and helping ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to inspect electronic components, cable assemblies, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and electro-mechanical assemblies using standard inspection tools and quality documentation procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections of electronic components, cable harnesses, PCBs, and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Verify products against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Inspect workmanship, assembly accuracy, labeling, soldering quality, wiring, crimping, and component placement
  • Use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, and microscopes
  • Document inspection results, defects, non-conformances, rework needs, and quality issues accurately and on time
  • Support quality assurance documentation, including inspection reports, quality records, checklists, and corrective action records
  • Identify recurring defects or process issues and communicate findings to production, engineering, and quality leadership
  • Assist with corrective and preventive action activities to help resolve quality problems and prevent repeat issues
  • Ensure products comply with applicable quality standards, customer specifications, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements when applicable
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement and product quality
  • Maintain inspection areas, tools, and equipment in clean, organized, and safe working condition
  • Follow company safety procedures, quality procedures, and manufacturing standards

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, or quality control within electronics manufacturing or electro-mechanical assembly
  • Experience inspecting PCBs, cable harnesses, electronic components, or electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, work instructions, and specifications
  • Experience using inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, or microscopes
  • Ability to identify defects, workmanship issues, and non-conforming materials
  • Experience documenting inspection results and maintaining quality records
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and quality or inspection documentation systems
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production and quality team

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
  • Experience with quality assurance procedures in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting corrective actions, non-conformance reports, or rework documentation
  • Technical training, vocational school, electronics training, or related certification
  • Previous experience in a temp-to-perm manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits
