One of our clients needs a Construction QC Inspector in Laurel, MD, for a long-term contract position.
  • Title: Construction QC Inspector
  • Location: Laurel, MD
  • Position Type: Onsite
  • Clearance: Secret.

Responsibilities:
  • The QC Inspector will ensure the contractor implements an effective quality control (QC) program and uses the provisions daily to control the quality of the work.
  • Review contract deliverables and submittals for conformance and perform daily inspections to verify all work is in strict compliance with the contract, and request correction of any deficiencies.
  • Develop a construction QA plan for each project including inspection, testing, and reporting procedures, as well as plans for monitoring corrective actions taken by contractors.
  • Prepare daily written QA reports recording all discussion with contractor QC staff as well as deficiencies.
  • QA reports should be completed and submitted within 48 hours.
  • Participate in the pre-construction meetings for each construction work item requiring such by the QA plan.
  • Monitor QC inspection and testing activities performed by the contractor. May include working some nights and weekends as the project schedule dictates

Required Skills:
  • Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years construction management and/or craft supervision experience commercial or Government construction projects.
