JOB SUMMARY:

The Designer, UXUI role will be a core member of the Global UXUI Experience Design team at Universal Destinations & Experiences, working with a cross functional team focused on identifying opportunities to enhance customer engagement by executing an elegant and seamless experience. Key member in creating opportunities for revenue growth through design executions, measuring demand and loyalty marketing across the customer buying process. Executes, participates or leads the entire process from inception to execution while working collaboratively with a cross functional team.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the holistic view of the product across integration (customer and technical) points to provide a superior, seamless experience from daily improvements to longer-term strategies. Strong domain knowledge in marketing, analysis, personalization and/or engagement across digital channels.
  • Synthesize product design and consumer trends and recommend clear, specific solutions to meet consumer needs. Execute and provide design artifacts that support UXUI best practices across integration (customer and technical) points to provide a superior, seamless experience from daily improvements to longer-term strategies.
  • Work closely with business, design and IT leaders as a point of contact for specific design initiatives.
  • Lead content design functions, collaborating with partners across the company to understand the needs of our teams and establishing end-to-end workflows designed to best serve those needs.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

The Designer, UXUI role will be a core member of the Global UXUI Experience Design team at Universal Destinations & Experiences. We are responsible for global UXUI; design concept, development and delivery of digital web, app and other off channel products for all Universal vacation destinations worldwide.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree is required; Bachelor's degree is required - Graphic Design, Human Centered Interaction and/or Interaction Design.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in ecommerce sites, rewards/engagement and loyalty programs working with data-driven product development teams.
  • Must present a portfolio of work that illustrates strong UX, visual design and interaction design excellence, brand creation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Demonstrated success creating end-to-end digital product designs in the consumer technology sector.
  • Should have exceptional brand, visual, and interaction design skills and a depth of experience working across the user-centered design process: from conducting and leveraging research (quantitative and qualitative) to prototyping and implementation to testing and evaluation.
  • Strong foundational design skills: Typography, layout, composition, color theory, iconography, UXUI, motion/interaction design and branding.
  • Experience creating and documenting UI toolkits, style guides, and front-end frameworks for design and development teams.
  • Experience with defining taxonomies and content strategy for development of components to be used in design systems and Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Possess a strong technical acumen for translating design artifacts into code based solutions across many types of front end technologies.
  • Knowledge of front-end development and code across digital channels, including Websites, mobile apps and email templates.
  • Experience in building cross-channel experiences in growth marketing.
  • Experience utilizing user-centric design methodology: Gathering/shaping requirements, defining user stories, storyboarding features and iterating based on user feedback/testing.
  • Knowledge of current challenges in the marketing environment such as attribution of marketing touch points, understanding customer lifetime value, and the use of data science led personalization.
  • A desire to tackle and solve problems, from big picture strategy to granular details.
  • Establish and maintain inventories of content assets, providing a view of current state.
  • Assess content based on consumer, brand, and/or business goals to make creation, revision, and migration recommendations, as well as to define content types.
  • Identify opportunities for repurposing, restructuring or revising existing content, and identify resources for additional content needed.
  • Perform competitive content reviews to benchmark content breadth, organization, and presentation.
  • Develop taxonomy & tagging strategies.
  • Mapping content to wireframes in collaboration with UX.
  • Mapping content to CMS page templates, email templates and components in collaboration with technology.
  • Knowledge of reviewing and applying accessibility best practices to solutions.
  • Passionately advocate for the user.
  • Comfortable with agile transformation.
  • A positive attitude, open mind, and desire to collaborate and learn.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, and Abstract.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (or experience) in Graphic Design, Human Centered Interaction and/or Interaction Design.
