Sr. Visual Communications & Environmental Graphics Specialist


MISSION

Lead the planning, production, and execution of onboard visual communications, environmental graphics, signage and branded activations across Sixthman Festivals at Sea. Partner with internal teams, creative agencies, production vendors, and event stakeholders to bring immersive guest experiences to life from concept development through installation, sailing operations, and post-event evaluation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

EVENT Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of onboard environmental graphics, branded activations, signage, banners, and wayfinding elements across assigned events.
  • Manage RFQ process (scope definition, bid leveling, recommendations).
  • Serve as the primary project manager for visual communications initiatives from concept through final installation.
  • Partner with internal Creative, Event, Operations, Purchasing, and Finance teams to align project scope, creative intent, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with external creative agencies, print vendors, fabricators, and installation partners to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Develop production schedules, project timelines, and milestone tracking to ensure deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Review production files, materials, proofs, and fabrication specifications to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Build installation plans, signage placement maps, and activation guides for shipboard execution. Ensure the plans are end to end, from loading through breakdown and post-event transportation and storage
  • Obtain and maintain production specifications and measurements for new signage opportunities, activation elements, and onboard branding locations.
  • Support the development of client presentations, pitch decks, renderings, and visual project documentation in partnership with creative vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the onboard guest experience through innovative environmental graphics and visual storytelling.
  • Additional duties as needed.

DEPARTMENT Responsibilities:

  • Maintain documentation for onboard signage inventory, specifications, placement guides, and production assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with trusted creative partners, printers, fabricators, and installation vendors.
  • Liaise with internal and external Logistics teams in the planning of asset movement and storage
  • Manage project budgets, production estimates, forecasts, purchase requests, and invoice reconciliation for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate vendor contracts, production schedules, shipping timelines, and installation logistics.
  • Develop scalable processes, documentation, and project tracking tools to improve execution across multiple events.
  • Ensure visual communication standards remain consistent across all Festivals at Sea.
  • Additional duties as needed.

SAILING Responsibilities:

  • Travel and sail on multiple events each year to oversee the installation, execution, maintenance, and removal of environmental graphics and branded activations.
  • Serve as the onsite lead for visual communications projects, ensuring installations meet quality, safety, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate with shipboard teams, vendors, and internal departments to resolve installation challenges in real time.
  • Conduct venue walkthroughs, site visits, and location scouting to identify opportunities and document future environmental graphic needs.
  • Verify the placement and condition of onboard signage, banners, displays, and activation assets throughout each sailing.
  • Liaise with onboard teams on the transition needs for back to back event installations and breakdowns on turnaround days
  • Lead post-event evaluations and recommend improvements to enhance future guest experiences and operational efficiency.
  • Additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design, Event Production, Project Management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing environmental graphics, experiential marketing, branded environments, event production, visual merchandising, or related project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously from concept through installation.
  • Experience collaborating with creative agencies, print vendors, fabricators, and installation partners.
  • Strong understanding of large-format print production, environmental graphics, signage systems, fabrication methods, and installation processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience developing production schedules, installation plans, and project documentation.
  • Budget management and vendor negotiation experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, live events, entertainment, or cruise operations is preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including sailing aboard cruise ships multiple times each year and participating in site visits and venue scouting.
  • Must be located in the greater Atlanta area.

DISCUSSIONS YOU LEAD

Lead cross-functional project meetings and vendor communications throughout the lifecycle of onboard visual communications and activation projects. Facilitate discussions around execution, production, logistics, budgets, timelines, installation planning, and operational readiness while ensuring stakeholders remain aligned from concept through completion.
