POSITION SUMMARY:

Transwestern is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative and collaborative team, driving projects that align with our client's visions through innovative design solutions. As a Graphic Designer for our Mid-Atlantic Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for creating high-end print, digital, and environmental collateral. You will be part of an innovative and team-oriented environment. Your expertise in marketing and graphic design will shape our client's narratives, ensuring consistency and originality within each brand while ensuring distinctiveness across different projects and clients. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • In collaboration with the Regional Marketing Director, you will develop design strategies and conceptualize, plan, design, and produce a broad array of marketing materials. These include brochures, email blast campaigns, large-scale graphics, comprehensive brand packages, and promotional campaigns for events and marketing, as well as merchandise. This role supports internal and external clients, along with executive leadership.

  • Craft compelling design narratives and concepts that showcase varied clients' goals and projects.

  • Work with Creative Director to design elevated concepts, templates, and finished work that creates efficiencies for the team and continually showcase design excellence, elevating the work of the entire team and region

  • Coordinate the production process, develop and coordinate printing specifications and oversee in- or out-of-house production.

  • Collaborate closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver projects that exceed expectations and adhere to timelines.

  • Offer creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking to elevate projects and inspire clients.

  • Take initiative in project participation, ideation, and continuous learning to stay ahead of design trends.

  • Efficiently tackle any additional design opportunities assigned by regional marketing and creative directors.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or similar.

  • A minimum of 3+ years' of experience in a Graphic Design role

  • Advanced proficiency/technical excellence with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat is required.

  • MS Office Suite experience required.

  • Working knowledge of HTML5 and basic web design is required

  • Motion graphics and/or photography experience is a plus.

  • Experience using project collaboration and management tools including Miro and Monday.com is a plus

  • Deep understanding of typography, layout design, and color theory, and an interest in the ever-evolving state of design and technology

  • Exceptional critical thinking, organization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Ability to give and receive honest and thoughtful feedback, possessing an open, positive, and collaborative communication style with a solution-oriented approach.

  • A passion for design thinking, brand building and storytelling and a strong understanding of how to maintain and evolve design systems.

  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic with excellent communication (verbal, written, visual), problem-solving skills and ability to propose ideas

  • A meticulous eye for detail, a passion for pushing creative boundaries while being an active, empathetic listener able to interpret client goals, and incorporate critical feedback from multiple client-partners.

Portfolio Required

Candidates must possess a compelling portfolio of print, digital, and or environmental/large scale design work that demonstrates experience leading small and large-scale projects, a range of aesthetics, and client-focused solutions to marketing challenges. Compensation is commensurate with experience, with an expected salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, depending on qualifications and expertise.
