Job description

Launch Communications Design Lead

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Launch Communications Design Lead to support New Model Programs (NMP). You will build, format, and optimize critical presentations for launch readiness reviews, gateway milestones, and executive meetings. While providing dedicated backend support for major launch meetings, you will actively lead working sessions to develop launch standard templates. The ideal candidate blends expert PowerPoint skills, a strong eye for visual design, statistical knowledge, and AI proficiency to transform complex launch data into clean, corporate-friendly communications that drive clear decision-making.

·         Launch Standard Template Development & Data Visualization

·         Lead cross-functional meetings and working sessions focused specifically on the development, refinement, and finalization of launch standard templates.

·         Leverage an understanding of statistics and data analysis to ensure complex launch metrics are accurately and effectively represented in charts, graphs, and standard templates.

·         Translate statistical data into easily digestible visual formats for non-technical stakeholders.

·         Templates, Formatting, & Visual Impact

·         Provide dedicated support for template clean-up, content optimization, and formatting to create clean, corporate template slides with the best visual impact.

·         Become the subject matter expert on New Model Programs (NMP) templates, standard wording, and formatting processes.

·         Manage and maintain the corporate NMP templates and provide other launch-related departments with presentation support.

·         AI-assisted Productivity

·         Utilize approved AI tools to assist with content optimization, data summarization, and visual generation, while rigorously validating outputs for accuracy and maintaining corporate governance.

·         Process & Internal Operations

·         Assist in visual content optimization and formatting at the request of NMP Leadership.

·         Lead the backup book/binder building process for deep-dive reviews.

·         Manage and distribute department documents.

·         Insights communication and decision support

·         Support presentation formatting and real-time edits during content reviews in meetings with NMP Managers, Chiefs, and Directors.

·         Identify and implement process improvements within the group, including the ongoing assessment of technology or macros that could lead to efficiencies.

Skills Required:

1. Microsoft PowerPoint – Ability to build structured, executive-ready presentations that communicate complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. Includes slide layout, data visualization, and narrative flow.

2. Training – Not referenced in job description, but employee will need to be able to explain/train others on how to use the templates/proformas they create.

3. Microsoft Excel – Ability to validate data, use formulas/lookups, digest datasets and translate them into easily understood charts/pivot tables

4. Business Strategy, Budgets/Timing - Ability to interpret business analytics and communicate their impact in business context

 5. Microsoft Word – Ability to create standardized templates, proformas, and formatted documents with consistent branding, styles, and structure that others can reuse independently.

6. Adobe Acrobat – Comfort creating and editing within Adobe Acrobat to create concise and rapidly understood files

7. Word Processing – Ability to review raw data, status updates, and reports, then synthesize them into concise written summaries and actionable takeaways.

8. Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems – Comfort using AI tools (like Claude, Power BI AI) to aid in data analysis and summarization.

Experience Required:

·         Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

·         Attention to Detail and Drive for Flawless Execution: Ability and desire to produce flawless templates/visual communications with zero formatting or data tie-point errors.

·         PowerPoint Expertise & Design: Position requires expert knowledge of PowerPoint (e.g., working with Master Templates, complex charts, tables, graphics, and Notes Pages) and a strong eye for slide design and visual hierarchy.

·         AI-supported analysis: Comfortable using AI tools for research and problem-solving with rigorous validation of outputs.

·         Time management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; deliver insights within tight timelines.

Experience Preferred:

·         Statistical & Data Literacy: Solid foundational understanding of business analytics, interpreting statistical results, and translating data into a business context.

·         Data Tools: Experience with data visualization (Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills for quick analyses.

·         Industry Knowledge: Automotive experience or domain knowledge in manufacturing or product launches.
