Successful supervisors rely on strong communication and conflict resolution skills to create a positive environment and facilitate healthy family connections.

What is a visitation supervisor?

Visitation supervisors are professionals who oversee visits between children and their non-custodial parents or other family members, typically in situations involving child custody, divorce, or child welfare cases. Their primary role is to ensure the safety and well-being of the child during these interactions by monitoring the visit, documenting behaviors, and intervening if necessary. Visitation supervisors may work for government agencies, private organizations, or independently, and they are trained to remain neutral while enforcing court-ordered guidelines. They help facilitate positive family interactions while following legal and ethical standards.
