Overview

Salary Range $15.00 - $26.60 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift First Shift Category Manufacturing

Description

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, or into trucks or storage facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Operation of a forklift in a safe manner.
  2. Deliver appropriate stock to appropriate machines safely and on time.
  3. Complete and document a forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift and turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
  4. Adhere to daily production schedule.
  5. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals.
  6. Complete assigned forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
  7. Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  8. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  9. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of corrugated packaging or general manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous forklift experience required.
  • Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
  • Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can translate into efficient operation.
  • Working knowledge of layouts, production specifications and product quality specifications.
  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
  • Ability to use warehouse scanners
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
  • The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.
