Job description

The Student Assistant's primary job functions will be located in the Client Support Office/CRC Walk-In Center and occasionally assisting the IT Help Desk as needed with level 1, 2, and 3 type support.

Position Duties

  • Assisting users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems on PC's and Mac's (both desktop and laptop), answering phones, replacing printer toner cartridges and printer paper, assisting users with printing services, troubleshooting mobile devices, activating campus accounts, user account activation, password resets, problems with Portal, Blackboard, and email
  • Assist on-campus and off-campus users by troubleshooting with remote support tools, perform virus scans and virus removal using free and licensed virus removal tools
  • Assist users with advanced Pace systems such as UKG, SAS, and SPSS
  • Conduct image back-ups and image deployments as well as work on open-source software and services.
  • Assist in leading other student workers and execute specific tasks assigned bySupervisors/Managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
