We are a general practice small animal hospital that accepts appointments and walk-ins. Our close-knit staff enjoys a positive work environment with daily camaraderie and strong support for one another!

East Los Angeles, CA, known for its warm climate, is an idea location for families. All within an hour's drive you can find outdoor activities like beaches, hiking trails and theme parks, making it an excellent location for a variety of interests. Our hours of operation are:

  • Mon - Fri: 7:30 am - 12 pm | 1 pm - 4:30 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 1+ years of veterinary receptionist experience.
  • Some previous veterinary assistant experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Compassionate, calm team player with a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities and strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent computer proficiency.
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and grow in your role.
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and resilience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in difficult or emotional circumstances.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay Range: $19/hr+ depending on level of experience
