Spring Mountain Counseling Services is looking for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team remotely, specializing in the treatment of trauma-related disorders. This role is pivotal for delivering mental health services to individuals seeking support in their recovery from traumatic experiences, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma.

This is a fully remote position, allowing professionals to work from home while being part of a supportive team. Although the workplace is virtual, connection remains strong through regular video conferences and team meetings. The therapist will have access to necessary tools, including secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation effectively.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s history and individual needs.
• Creating individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, encompassing therapeutic approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their traumatic experiences and developing coping mechanisms.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.
• Providing crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Educating patients and families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engaging in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities tailored to trauma-informed care practices.
• Staying abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy to continually inform your practice.

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The therapist will work with a diverse population, offering compassionate guidance to help patients navigate the intricacies of their emotional and psychological healing processes.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders, evidence-based trauma treatment methodologies, and resilience-building approaches.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and familiarity with digital communication tools.

While 2 years of post-licensure experience in a similar role is preferred, we value candidate potential and dedication to continuous learning and improvement. Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be critical in this role.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
