Overview

As a LifeWise Substitute Teacher in the Centersville program, you will demonstrate Bible knowledge and teaching abilities. Our ideal candidate is an active church member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching children.

Qualifications and Experience

A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Active membership in a church in which teaching aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Job Description

Teach LifeWise Classes on an as-needed basis

Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher

Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures

Follow the program student discipline policy

Maintain Records

Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to LifeWise Program Teacher

Maintain Classroom

Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom

Know procedures for emergency situations

Communicate

Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community

Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and utilize them when necessary

Communicate with the program teacher

Optional Duties

Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification course

Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit

Attend virtual monthly LifeWise Teachers' Lounge meetings
