Job description

You are a self starting, highly motivated individual who is energized by the opportunity to be a cosmetic industry leader. As a Supergoop! Sales and Education Manager, you will build the retail sales in the Canadian Atlantic market through building retailer relationships and increasing brand awareness. Reporting to the Director of Sales of North America, you will additionally be responsible for scheduling and supporting in-person and virtual trainings and events.

Responsibilities: 

  • You will lead by example by displaying the Supergoop! Core values. 
  • In partnership with your leader you will develop territory strategy to reach retailer sales targets and provide growth YOY, assuring focus on elevating the brand awareness to reach maximum ROI. 
  • Prepare weekly sales results and in-store activity recaps to the Director of Sales that include business/product performance, market and competitive insight, etc. 
  • You will be adaptable and agile in your approach to the different retailers you work with by understanding their specific company culture. 
  • You will identify and work to resolve inventory, staffing, branding, or merchandising needs at the market level. 
  • You will ensure that each store is trained frequently and reinforce that training with follow up selling techniques, demonstrations, and product information
  • You will develop and maintain an organized system that ensures appropriate levels of testers, gratis, sampling & training materials
  • You will identify and report market information with leadership to ensure market growth
  • You will execute Supergoop! marketing initiatives
  • You will maintain Supergoop! image and brand standards by adhering to merchandising guidelines. You will coach your team on this and hold them accountable to the same expectations. 
  • Responsible for building both relationships at the store level as well as district and regional level by fostering consistent communication with appropriate individuals. You will leverage these relationships to negotiate broader scale events and training opportunities as well as space and location additions/changes. 
  • You will own daily business and event strategy by planning and executing a territory call cycle for maximum business growth. In addition, you will work closely with the area support team to create and execute strategy for their respective markets. 
  • You will analyze sales reports to identify trends and opportunities and execute accordingly
  • You will manage and develop an area support team for your territory through consistent touch bases to assure strong communication and partnership alignment. 
  • You will conduct virtual training and broadcast selling events as needed or requested by retail partners 
  • You will enroll territory team in company strategy and hold them accountable to company expectations to achieve maximum results

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role in the Beauty Sales and Education space
  • Experience with and understanding of the Sephora business is essential
  • Willingness to work a Tuesday - Saturday schedule and  spend up to 80% of the time in-store
  • Seeing as we are a seasonal brand, there is a blackout period starting in Spring through Summer, with some flexibility to request time off. Dates vary every year and are determined by the Leadership team.
  • Comfortable with the occasional overnight travel as needed
  • Social media savvy with ability to engage easily with retail audience 
  • Demonstrate creative and active problem-solving to drive on time and quality delivery for all projects
  • You are agile and adaptable as this is a fast paced, often changing environment
  • Solid project management skills, including proven ability to manage projects and partner with various levels in the organization
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present with confidence
  • Passion for selling and ability to demonstrate and motivate teams through execution of skincare/ makeup application
  • You are coachable and open to giving and receiving feedback in a timely manner
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Willingness to work out of home office, if necessary
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50lbs
