Position Overview
The Adjunct Faculty member teaches Computer Engineering Technology courses to students in the Bachelor's in Science program.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes

  • Teaches courses
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field (e.g., Computer Programming and Networking, Computer Science, Digital Systems and Signal Processing, Software Engineering, Technology Integration and Analysis); or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field (e.g., Computer Programming and Networking, Computer Science, Digital Systems and Signal Processing, Software Engineering, Technology Integration and Analysis)
  • Flexibility to teach off site with industry partners
  • Abilty to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to provide both theoretical and hands on instruction in the classroom
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work well in a multi-ethic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Must be able to function well in a technological environment
