Job description

Job Overview

Fairview has an immediate opening for an Virtual Visit Facilitator to join our team. This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two weeks pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Clinic Hours of Operation are Monday–Friday:7:00AM–7:00PM.

Visit Facilitators are a valuable member of our care team and is responsible for supporting in person clinic visits, including communicating with patients prior to their visit and helping guide patients through the care experience. The visit facilitator gathers pertinent medical information from the patient and documents the information into the patient's medical record. This role also helps to assists with tasks that support the effectiveness and efficiency of the team. The visit facilitator may also assist in scheduling and coordinating appointments, preparing schedules and other delegated duties as assigned.

This position plays a meaningful role in supporting providers and patients during their virtual telehealth visits. The Virtual Visit Facilitator monitors clinic schedules, completes appointment check in and registration, gathers and documents pertinent medical information, and troubleshoots technology barriers. Other duties include but are not limited to: Previsit planning, appointment scheduling, copayment collection, and work queue support. 
Responsibilities

  • Ensures all pertinent medical records have been received and are available for the visit
  • Updates Care Everywhere as requested
  • Collects data and medical device downloads as needed
  • Monitors and completes registration errors within the workqueue
  • Uses technology proficiently to identify and satisfy patient appointment needs for a clean claim
  • Acquires and verifies patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information
  • Authorizes and collects copayment and prepayment as needed
  • Coordinates patient support with interpreter services as appropriate
  • Reviews and updates allergies, medications, health assessments and/or questionnaires, and patient reported vitals
  • Provides technology support to both patient and provider to ensure video and audio are functioning
  • Communicates with providers and other clinical staff to support the virtual visit experience

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Familiarity with Medical terminology
  • Previously worked in a healthcare setting
  • Telephonic customer experience
