Department: Virtual Safety Monitor
Schedule: PRN | Day Shift, 12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm
Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University.
How you'll make an impact in this role- Provide observation and surveillance of assigned patients.
- Monitor patients by use of video monitors.
- Communicate and/or instruct patients by use of 2-way audio device.
- Notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition and/or safety risk level.
- Complete documentation of observations of patient activities, patient behaviors and other safety & comfort related issues.
Licensure/ Certification/ Registration:
Preferred Credential(s):
- BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
- CNA, PCT, HHA, or CMA experience
- Administrative experience
- Must have computer skills and great communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Attention to detail.
- Coverage as needed for call-ins or scheduled time off for full-time and part-time staff.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Minimum of 1 12 hour shift per pay period (bi-weekly)
