Production Supervisor (Robotics)

Are you interested in beginning or advancing your career with a role in production supervision? If so, consider becoming U-Haul's newest Production Supervisor in our robotic welding department! In this rewarding position you will be an essential manager of employees responsible for the manufacture of truck and trailer parts for the largest do-it-yourself moving company in the world. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate each robotic welding station to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Hire, train, review and support robot operators, welders, programmers, and other department employees.

  • Track work orders, post production, conduct cycle counts.

  • Maintain open lines of communication between employees and managers.

  • Ensure resources and assets are used efficiently and correctly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory or related experience is a plus.

  • 3+ years in manufacturing or assembly facilities.

  • Familiar with print reading and use of inspection tools.

  • Good computer skills.

  • Previous ERP experience preferred.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to communicate in English.

Work Environment:


The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:


The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationery, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
