Job description

For over four decades, Cirrus Logic has been propelled by the top engineers in mixed-signal processing. Our rockstar team thrives on solving complex challenges with innovative end-user solutions for the world's top consumer brands. Cirrus Logic is also known for its award-winning culture, which was built on a foundation of inclusion and fairness, meaningful community engagement, and delivering enjoyable employee experiences at every turn. But we couldn't do it without our extraordinary workforce - and that's where you come in. Join our team and help us continue to make Cirrus Logic an exceptional place to grow your career!
The Role:
We are looking for a hands-on, highly driven CAD engineer to own and elevate the analog and mixed-signal simulation environment at the heart of Cirrus Logic's design efforts. In this role, you'll be a key force behind building, refining, and sustaining high-fidelity, production-ready analog simulation flows that power our most advanced designs.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with analog designers, foundry partners, and leading EDA vendors to ensure our simulation infrastructure is not only accurate, but scalable, resilient, and trusted for tape-out-critical decisions.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on tackling tough simulation accuracy problems, digging deep into SPICE model behavior, and transforming complexity into disciplined, robust methodologies. If you're motivated by making simulations more predictive, more efficient, and ultimately more impactful on silicon success, this role puts you right in the driver's seat.
What You'll Own & Create
This isn't a maintenance job-this is where you architect smarter workflows, champion new design methodologies, and elevate how an entire organization designs silicon.
You will:
  • Own the analog and mixed-signal simulation tools and flows used across design teams, serving as the go-to technical authority
  • Define, build, and evolve simulation signoff methodology and criteria that teams rely on for confident design decisions
  • Ensure simulation flows deliver trusted, repeatable, production-quality results that accurately predict silicon behavior
  • Lead cross-team alignment and consensus on simulation tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Partner directly with foundry teams to validate, qualify, and continuously improve SPICE models
  • Collaborate with EDA vendors to drive tool fixes, enhancements, evaluations, and roadmap influence
  • Work hands-on with design teams to debug simulation accuracy, convergence, and performance challenges
  • Own post-layout simulation flows, including DSPF integration, regressions, and correlation strategies
  • Establish and propagate consistent simulation methodologies and best practices across all analog design teams
  • Architect and create next-generation analog simulation flows and infrastructure from the ground up
  • Analyze waveforms, results, and large datasets to uncover issues, trends, and opportunities to improve methodology and predictability
  • Optimize simulation performance at scale, improving runtime, throughput, and license utilization across shared compute environments

You won't just support design-you'll amplify it. Your tools will accelerate silicon development, unlock new capabilities, streamline workflows, and enable Cirrus Logic engineers to do their best work at scale.
Skills You'll Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting design CAD or EDA tools in a production environment
  • Deep, practical expertise in analog SPICE simulation using Cadence Spectre, including SOA checks and the full ADE simulation environmentStrong command of analog simulation domains-DC, AC, transient, noise, and statistical analysis-along with proven techniques for convergence tuning and numerical stability
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting simulation flows within the Cadence Virtuoso environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the Cadence OpenAccess (OA) environment, including flow integration and customizationExperience working with revision control systems, enabling disciplined development, traceability, and scalable collaboration
  • Solid understanding of CMOS analog processes, combined with direct experience testing, validating, and correlating SPICE modelsClear, effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across design, CAD, foundry, and vendor teams in a team-oriented environment

Benefits That Put You First
At Cirrus Logic, we're deeply committed to the health, happiness, and long-term well-being of our employees and their families. Our benefits are designed to support your life both inside and outside the office-because when you thrive, we all do.
What We Offer:
  • Inclusive, competitive medical, Rx, dental, and vision coverage to keep you and your family well-supported.
  • FSA & HSA options, letting you use pre-tax dollars for expected-or unexpected-medical expenses.
  • Family-forming benefits, because every path to parenthood deserves support.
  • On-site Medical Clinic, providing convenient care right at work.
