Position Purpose

At Saint Francis Hospital the Virtual Registered Nurse RN is a key part of our innovative Virtual Connected Care delivery Model. This is a true team approach to patient-centered care and uses technology to support direct care staff and increase patient interaction.

What you will do

  • The Virtual RN is connected to the Patient Room virtually with complete access to medical records and performs detailed examinations via advance camara technology.

  • They also provide mentoring and support to the direct care nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. Specialty credentialing & educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area. BSN graduate preferred.

  • Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.

  • Certification: BLS certification required.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as an RN in health condition management, which must include adult condition management and Hospital experience.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience. EPIC preferred
