Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehab position at a hospital-based rehabilitation pavilion in Northport, AL, requiring at least 2 years of experience including 1 year of recent rehab specialty experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Details
  • Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within a hospital-based Rehabilitation Pavilion
  • Patient population includes stroke, hip fracture, and pulmonary patients working toward improved functional independence
  • Patients receive 24-hour medical monitoring alongside daily rounding by physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
  • Specialized therapy equipment on unit includes body weight support systems, treadmills, Dynavision machines, and a simulation vehicle
  • EMR: Meditech (experience not required)
  • Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Floating to other units and hospitals required
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
  • No hits (past or current) on license allowed
  • AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
  • Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience working under the highest level of professional license; 18 months may be considered
  • At least 1 year of recent inpatient rehab experience required
  • NURSYS license verification required for consideration
  • Current driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration
