Registered Nurse (RN)

Park Ridge, IL (Lutheran General Hospital)

Full Time; 12 hour day shift

Step outside the traditional hospital walls and deliver hospital-level care directly in patients’ homes . This innovative role blends the autonomy of delivering care in the home setting with the complexity of acute inpatient nursing , supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

  • Manageable Caseload: 3–4 patient assignments, which may include admits/discharges, per 12-hour shift

  • Flexible Schedule: Includes alternating weekends

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver acute, hospital-level care in patients’ homes

  • Perform skilled clinical tasks (IV starts, phlebotomy, medication administration)

  • Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring escalation

  • Collaborate with a virtual and in-person interdisciplinary team

  • Use evidence-based practice to ensure safe, patient-centered care

  • Coordinate discharge planning and ongoing care needs

  • Promote a culture of safety and high-quality outcomes

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active RN license in the state of Illinois

  • BLS certification (AHA)

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • 2+ years of recent acute inpatient care or ED experience preferred

  • Strong IV, phlebotomy, and clinical assessment skills

  • Ability to work independently in home settings

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking

  • Comfortable with technology and remote monitoring tools

Work Environment
