Job description

Snowflake Architect

Work Location: ONSITE - Spring, TX

Responsibilities:

  • The Snowflake Architect should develop analytics based solutions that produce quantitative and qualitative business insights. Work with partners as necessary to integrate systems and data quickly and effectively regardless of technical challenges or business environments.
  • Lead effort to design, build, and configure applications acting as primary POC.
  • Own end to end RFP or RFI or proactive proposals, client presentations, and solution workshops. Contribute in area such as estimation building PoVs, offerings development, training, and capability building.
  • Client facing role in terms of running solution workshops, client visits, handled large RFP pursuits, and managed multiple stakeholders.
  • Deploy fully operational data warehouse solutions into production on Snowflake.
  • Perform project management activities including project documentation, business requirements, and project tracking.
  • Snowflake SQL writing SQL queries against Snowflake, developing scripts Unix Python etc to do Extract Load and Transform data.

Required:

  • Snowflake architecture experience in designing and architecting Snowflake projects.
  • Expertise in Snowflake data modeling, ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing stored procedures, and standard DW/HETL concepts.
  • Clear understanding of Snowflake’s advanced concepts like virtual warehouses, query performance using micro partitions and pruning, zero copy clone, time travel, resource monitors, and security control methods including network, data, role-based, etc.
  • Proficient with data platform architecture design, data dictionaries, multidimensional models, objects star and snowflake schemas, as well as structures for data lakes, data science, and data warehouses using Snowflake. Responsibilities will also include technical delivery review, resolution of architecture issues, and for the migration of the existing on-premises application to AWS/Azure Snowflake platform.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Snowflake data modeling and ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored procedures, and best practices with data warehouse and ETL concepts.
  • Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Python, Tasks, Streams, Time travel Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing, and stored procedures.
  • In-depth understanding of Data Warehouse/ODS ETL concept and modeling structure principles.
  • Experience in Data warehousing OLTP OLAP Dimensions Facts and Data modeling.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of any ETL tool.
  • Ability to effectively function in a cross teams environment.
