Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide expert dermatological care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and assist with various procedures including dermal fillers and laser treatments. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient experiences while supporting our mission to advance skin health through innovative practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and skin assessments using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
  • Assist in dermatological procedures such as dermal fillers, dermabrasion, esthetic laser treatments, and suturing with aseptic technique.
  • Manage treatment plans involving botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and other cosmetic interventions, ensuring proper injection administration and patient safety.
  • Educate patients on skin conditions, treatment options, skincare routines, and post-procedure care to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance and data management standards.
  • Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, participating in clinical trials, and contributing to quality improvement projects aligned with NCQA standards.
  • Triage urgent dermatological issues, including acute pain management and infectious disease care related to skin conditions, utilizing critical care experience when necessary.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with state licensure in good standing.
  • Proven experience in dermatology or related outpatient clinical settings; hospital experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases).
  • Strong knowledge of dermatological procedures including dermabrasion, laser treatments, dermal fillers, suturing techniques, and injection administration.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual patient consultations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills.
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dermatology and physiology of skin health; understanding of infection control practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration; commitment to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
