Team Advisor
Job Summary
We are excited to explore the possibility of adding a Team Advisor to support a Financial Advisor and their growing book of business at Keating & Associates.
In this role, you will work closely with the Advisor to help deliver a thoughtful, high-quality financial planning experience for clients. The position plays an important role in preparing financial plans, supporting investment and insurance analysis, coordinating client meetings, and helping ensure a seamless and well-prepared client experience. This role will also include leading client meetings independently upon completion of the required licensing, following established financial planning philosophies and under the oversight of a Financial Advisor. 
As part of a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to maintaining strong client relationships while helping the Advisor stay focused on strategic conversations and guidance. The ideal candidate is analytical, service-minded, and relationship-oriented, with a desire to grow their advisory skills while supporting the continued success of the Advisor and the clients they serve.
This position is non-exempt, in-office in Manhattan, KS. This role is not eligible for remote work. 
Annual Base Salary Range is $51,000 to $55,000 with additional bonus potential.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
  • Assist with preparation, review, and maintenance of financial plans, portfolios, and insurance solutions
  • Support development of client recommendations and planning strategies
  • Prepare meeting agendas, planning reports, and investment research
  • Deliver coordinated service before, during, and after client interactions
  • Document client and prospect communications in CRM
  • Maintain accurate client records and case documentation
  • Assist with investment research and portfolio allocation proposals
  • Conduct financial planning analysis to support client recommendations
  • Serve as a liaison for client questions and service needs, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Help cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  •  Maintain working knowledge of custodian systems and advisor technology platforms
  • Stay current on industry education and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen the client service experience
  • Assist in managing existing client relationships by providing ongoing account support, service, and follow-through on client needs.
  • Facilitate client meetings independently after obtaining the required licensing, delivering consistent planning experience aligned with firm standards and Advisor oversight.
In addition, you will be expected to take on additional responsibilities as needed to address evolving client priorities and contribute to ongoing growth and success.
Certifications/Licensures:
  • Series 65 obtained with 90 days of Hire REQUIRED
  • CFP® preferred or in the process of studying for the exam.
  • Additional Life and Health Insurance PREFERRED but not required
Professional Experience:
  • 3 years or more of experience in Financial Planning Preferred
Education:
  • B.S. in Financial Planning, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
