As a full-time mental health therapist, you will play a crucial role in community stabilization and the emotional well-being of our program participants. You will provide access to essential mental health services and advocate for the rights and dignity of individuals, empowering them to work towards their personal goals. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to connect and support clients from the comfort of your own home while making a meaningful impact in their lives.

About the Organization

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our clients through innovative and empathetic mental health support. We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals within our communities and strive to create a culturally sensitive, inclusive, and healing virtual environment. Our organization values a collaborative approach where therapists are encouraged to engage openly and share insights to improve both client care and professional development.

Work Environment

As part of our team, you will work in a fully remote telehealth setting, utilizing technology to communicate with clients through virtual sessions. Our advanced telehealth platform enables seamless interaction, with tools that support documentation, assessments, and reporting. Your role may require carrying an after-hours phone on an alternating basis, ensuring you are accessible for care coordination support outside of regular working hours. You will be empowered to maintain a full caseload and experience the fulfillment that comes from supporting clients in a manageable and efficient virtual workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and timely documentation for each client, ensuring same-day entries for individuals at risk of crisis interactions.
  • Complete critical incident reports within 24 hours as required, addressing immediate and impactful situations meticulously.
  • Actively engage in care coordination by managing transitions for clients from inpatient services to outpatient care, collaborating directly with hospital staff.
  • Utilize crisis de-escalation techniques effectively, serving as the Clinician of the Day to provide milieu support for all individuals.
  • Complete and maintain crisis alerts and risk assessments, ensuring communication with county crisis services as needed.
  • Work proactively with participants to develop safety plans, with the primary goal of preventing the escalation of crises and the need for emergency services.
  • Contribute to the overall quality of care by staying attuned to the needs and dynamics of each client, adapting therapeutic strategies accordingly.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as requested by management to enhance service delivery and client support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus on a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your compassionate approach will empower clients to engage in their treatment actively, addressing their barriers and celebrating their milestones. By working closely with each participant, you’ll help facilitate their journey toward emotional resilience and personal growth, all within a supportive and respectful framework.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited program (examples: MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).
  • An independent license in your state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, particularly in a high caseload environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to listen empathetically and convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and flexible problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a telehealth setting is preferred but not mandatory; however, familiarity with virtual platforms is a plus.
  • Previous work with diverse populations and knowledge of culturally relevant practices.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral management is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent in the mental health field. Benefits include:

  • Professional liability insurance to safeguard your practice.
  • Access to an employee assistance program dedicated to mental health support.
  • Minimized paperwork, allowing you to focus more on client interaction.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to prioritize your well-being.
  • Life and disability insurance for your peace of mind.
  • A full caseload that ensures a dynamic and rewarding workweek.
