As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions via video chat with ethicality and compassion.
• Developing tailored therapy goals and objectives based on individual client assessments.
• Employing solution-based methodologies to guide clients through their mental health challenges.
• Fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes client insights into their emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
• Regularly monitoring client progress and adapting treatment plans to ensure the best outcomes.
• Assisting clients in developing coping strategies to manage their mental health effectively.

Your client base will predominantly consist of stable, low-acuity adults seeking assistance for a variety of mental health concerns. You will provide meaningful support to those navigating life transitions, stress management, and personal development, thus playing a vital role in enhancing their quality of life. With the rise of teletherapy, you will find an immediate influx of clients ready to engage in treatment.

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A valid and current license in the state of Oregon, such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• Ability to practice privately and independently without supervision.
• No disciplinary actions on your license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with clients.

While not mandatory, experience in virtual counseling and familiarity with modern treatment modalities will be an advantage. Strong computer literacy and a willingness to learn new technologies to improve client engagement will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

In return for your valuable contributions, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours worked. Additional benefits include:
