This is an on-site position based out of our System Support Center at Atlantic Station in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
This position specializes in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. The Virtual CT technologist must demonstrate the ability to perform advanced CT imaging while incorporating competent/proficient knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Virtual CT technologists must be capable of providing and directing safe competent technical care based on each patient's identified needs, regardless of complexity, utilizing remote communication tools and relying on the cooperative clinical skills of the on-site CT support team.
What you will do
  • The remote technologist demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all CT procedures on patients of all age groups. The remote technologist assists with correct patient positioning, protocol selection and utilizes all required equipment.
  • The remote technologist maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
  • The remote technologist accurately follows established imaging protocols for exams being performed.
  • Adheres to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
  • Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
  • The remote technologist must possess the ability to post-process advance imaging procedures by using applications such as Syngo-Via.
  • The remote technologist must function independently with little guidance from a manager.
  • The remote technologist must review all orders and protocols for appropriateness, all labs and all legal documentation to confirm patient readiness prior to scan.
  • All Safety behavior and tools must be practiced and adhered to throughout the patient encounter.
  • Remotely initiates and controls scanning and technical parameters in real time while monitoring image quality.
  • Maintains continuous audio/video communications with on-site support team and provides guidance to the qualified on-site operator.
  • Documents scan details, protocol deviations, and technical issues.
  • Use remote sessions as opportunities to train on-site staff toward full technical competency.

  • Graduate of an accredited college for Radiologic Technology. college for Radiologic Technology. college for Radiologic Technology. Required
Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist. Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) (CT). Required
