You Have
  • BA or BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of group insurance experience, preferably processing RFPs.
  • Knowledge of group insurance products and services.
  • Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated success servicing customers, producers, assistants, and planholders.
  • Experience working with and supporting the needs of a field sales organization in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with business applications and systems including Outlook, Salesforce, CPS, Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, Access, and related technologies.
You Will
  • Serve as the designated field resource supporting Sales Executives and Client Management teams within the 2-1999 market segment.
  • Manage duties associated with inventory management, RFP processing, and new business/add issue submissions.
  • Partner closely with Sales Executives, Client Management, Rating, Underwriting, Onboarding, and Producers/Assistants to ensure information required to release competitive quotes and submit new business is received and processed accurately and timely.
  • Review RFP data, identify information received, and determine additional requirements necessary to underwrite and release quotes.
  • Partner with Rating and Quoting teams to ensure proposals remain on track to meet established due dates.
  • Participate in inventory review meetings and provide updates on pipeline activity and quote status.
  • Make recommendations regarding benefit and rate options based on analysis of RFPs and assessment of customer buying triggers through consultative interactions with Sales Executives and customers.
  • Engage key internal stakeholders, including Dental, BenTech, Worksite, and Enrollment teams, to develop comprehensive proposal strategies.
  • Meet with Underwriting to negotiate rates, exceptions, and approvals.
  • Discuss RFP requirements, plan design options, and multi-line opportunities with producers and their assistants.
  • Build strong relationships with underwriting partners, brokers, and broker support staff to ensure customer needs are met while maintaining profitability and acceptable risk.
  • Proactively follow up with producers and assistants regarding quoted opportunities to assess competitiveness and gather post-mortem feedback.
  • Work closely with Sales Executives and Underwriters to finalize sold quotes and initiate the onboarding process following established SOPs.
  • Facilitate the transition of new business from Sales to Onboarding.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Guardian systems, tools, and procedures.
  • Provide backup support to colleagues and contribute to overall team success.
Location

Hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely and travel to the Atlanta Guardian office as needed.

Salary Range:

$49,260.00 - $73,890.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
