Job description

Make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive K-12 school environment near Roanoke, VA. This is a full-time opportunity with two immediate openings, offering 37.5 hours per week and the chance to choose from a variety of caseloads across elementary, middle, or high school levels for the 2026/27 academic year. If you’re passionate about fostering student success and collaborative teamwork, you’ll find this role both rewarding and inspiring.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active and valid SLP license (Virginia or eligible for reciprocity)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing equitable and inclusive services to all students

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a K-12 setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy programs
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
  • Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and student growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary team discussions, and staff development opportunities
  • Provide direct, on-site services (virtual/remote services are not an option)
