We are seeking a QA Product Engineer to support and enhance the systems that enable quality validation for our ArcGIS desktop products. This role focuses on owning and supporting existing automation, test infrastructure, and analysis workflows.

This is a hands-on role centered on ensuring reliable, consistent execution of QA processes across multiple products. You will work closely with QA and development teams to operate testing systems, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce friction through incremental enhancements.

Responsibilities

Execution & QA Systems

  • Own and support automated testing and analysis workflows across multiple products
  • Execute and monitor recurring test runs, ensuring consistent and reliable results
  • Configure test runs, environments, and dependencies based on product needs
  • Run and manage static analysis scans (such as Coverity) and generate reports
  • Triage analysis results, identifying actionable issues versus false positives

Automation & Tooling

  • Maintain and update Jenkins pipelines used for testing and analysis workflows
  • Create and modify pipeline jobs and supporting scripts as needed
  • Enhance workflow efficiency by tuning configurations and improving automation
  • Assist in integrating QA processes into CI/CD systems

 Troubleshooting & Environment Support

  • Investigate and resolve issues in automation, pipelines, and test execution
  • Set up, reimage, and maintain test machines and environments
  • Troubleshoot environment-related issues impacting testing reliability
  • Support tool updates, configuration changes, and system stability improvements

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, QA, or a related technical field
  • Experience working with CI/CD systems or automated test workflows (Jenkins preferred)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (such as C#, Java, or Python) with the ability to read and understand code
  • Experience working with static analysis tools (Coverity preferred) or similar tools (such as SonarQube, Polyspace)
  • Understanding of software quality concepts, including code quality, defect identification, and basic security considerations (such as common CWE types)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across automation, environments, and test systems
  • Ability to manage priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with an interest in continuous learning
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience with static analysis tools such as Coverity, SonarQube, or similar
  • Proficiency in scripting (such as Python) for automation, tooling, or reporting
  • Familiarity with software testing workflows, SDLC, and "shift-left" quality practices
  • Familiarity with source control (Git), build systems, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience working with or supporting automated test frameworks
  • Experience managing or maintaining test environments, lab machines, or virtual machines
  • Experience troubleshooting issues in automation pipelines, test execution, or system environments
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced software development environment
