The Opportunity

MGO is expanding and seeking an experienced Assurance Senior Associate focused on State and Local Government (SLG) engagements. This role offers exposure to some of the largest and most complex government entities in the country, including states, counties, cities, airports, ports, railways, and major federal compliance audits. You will lead engagements end-to-end while delivering exceptional client service and developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement planning, budgeting, execution, and client communications
  • Manage engagement economics, billing, and quality control
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and senior staff
  • Resolve technical and client service matters independently
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for expanded services
  • Support firm initiatives, growth strategies, and professional organizations
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of public or corporate accounting experience (SLG preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA license preferred or CPA-eligible
  • Strong communication, project management, and client service skills
