Job description

Production Control Clerk Location: El Monte, CA Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Control Clerk to join a growing manufacturing company in El Monte. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by maintaining accurate production documentation, updating MRP data, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure production schedules and reporting remain on track. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of production control processes. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble production documentation, including work orders, routers, travelers, and engineering drawings. Review and maintain production reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with production and manufacturing personnel to resolve reporting discrepancies. Enter and maintain production data within the company's MRP/ERP system. Monitor work order status and ensure production information is updated accurately. Maintain organized production records and documentation files. Support production scheduling and reporting activities to meet customer deadlines. Assist with process improvements and additional projects as assigned. Communicate effectively with cross-functional departments to support daily manufacturing operations. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in production control, production planning, or manufacturing reporting. Experience working in a manufacturing environment required. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and production documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to interpret technical documents, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures. Typing speed of approximately 40 WPM or higher. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. APICS CPIM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification is preferred but not required.
