Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab

Schedule: PRN

*MUST have GI Lab experience

About the GI Lab Unit

The GI Lab RN utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment. This role maintains professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams, and ensures patient rights and confidentiality are upheld.

You'll play a key role in supporting endoscopic and gastroenterological procedures, patient education, and recovery care — all while upholding Mercy's values and service standards.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited RN program

Active RN license in Missouri or Compact State and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

Physical Requirements:

Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds regularly

Prolonged standing and walking

Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching

Certifications Required:

BLS (within 30 days of hire if not current)

ACLS

Unit-specific certifications (may be obtained after hire)
