LOCUM Plastic Surgeon - Des Moines, Iowa
Trauma Call Coverage | Reconstructive Surgery | Full-Time Opportunity
365 Healthcare is seeking an experienced Plastic Surgeon for a full-time locum opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This assignment will begin with call coverage responsibilities and has the potential to expand into clinic and operative coverage as the program evolves.
This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon interested in trauma, reconstructive surgery, and long-term program support within a busy regional medical center.
Schedule Model
• Full-time coverage needed
• Initial focus on call coverage beginning July 2026
• Flexible scheduling options:
• 7 days on / 7 days off
OR
• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• Future clinic and OR coverage anticipated
Coverage Needed
• ASAP start for ongoing coverage
• Must be available for call coverage beginning July 10, 2026
• Long-term assignment with potential expansion into clinic and surgical responsibilities
Practice Overview
• Hospital-based Plastic Surgery practice
• Coverage at multiple hospital campuses
• EMR: Epic
• Teaching opportunities available
Clinical Responsibilities
• Trauma call coverage
• Emergency Department consultations
• Soft tissue and reconstructive surgery consultations
• Collaboration with breast surgery teams for reconstruction cases
• In-office consultations and procedures (future coverage)
• Operative case coverage as program needs expand

• Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC with LOQ
• Significant Plastic Surgery experience required
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Ability to work either 7-on/7-off or 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off schedules
• Must be available for call coverage beginning July 10, 2026
