Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 3 years of Level I/II trauma OR experience.
Job Details
• Work in the Operating Room of a Level 1 Trauma Center with 41 ORs,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Handles General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastic surgery cases,
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 0645, with occasional shifts starting at 0845 or 1045,
• Schedule includes Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday that varies weekly based on staffing needs,
• Must work 3 night shifts during the assignment,
• Floating required to other UCH operating rooms within scope,
• No on-call requirements,
• 13-week contract length,
Job Requirements
• Active CO or compact RN license required,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required,
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required,
• At least one completed travel assignment required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Experience with a wide range of surgical procedures including Gynecology, Plastics, Neurology, Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, and ENT cases,
Additional Information
• Perform circulating duties for craniotomy and other complex surgical cases,
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within the first week of the assignment, averaging 4 hours of non-billable time,
• Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods where RTO is not permitted,
• No blocked scheduling requests allowed,
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates must disclose this for eligibility review,
• Travelers who complete a full year on assignment will not be eligible for rebooking for at least one year,
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local bill rate
