Our counselors play a pivotal role in assessing, treating, and supporting our clients, ensuring that they receive tailored and effective care.

About the Organization

Painless Physical Therapy is a well-respected mental health center located in Tampa, Florida. We pride ourselves on providing accessible and high-quality mental health care to diverse populations. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment where individuals can overcome their mental health challenges, and we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the communities we serve.

Work Environment

Our work setting is primarily remote, which allows for a flexible work-life balance. Counselors are expected to maintain regular business hours but may also accommodate occasional evening shifts to meet client needs. Even in a remote environment, we emphasize collaboration and teamwork, encouraging our staff to engage in regular communication and support each other in delivering comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clientsโ€™ mental health needs, working collaboratively to develop individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and evidence-based approaches.
  • Deliver a diverse array of therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant modalities to meet client needs.
  • Work alongside case managers, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to provide coordinated care, including participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment adjustments.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress, utilizing strong assessment skills and a compassionate approach to help stabilize their situation.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and combating stigma, including workshops, seminars, and informational resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed mental health counselor at Painless Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse client base, encompassing a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic statuses. This role is particularly rewarding for professionals interested in enhancing their cultural competence and understanding the unique challenges faced by various populations. You will play a key part in delivering mental health services that address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Proven ability to establish trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of cultural sensitivity and the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical settings when working with clients from varied demographics.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills to manage caseloads, meet documentation requirements, and adhere to treatment timelines.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in the mental health field, particularly in outpatient settings. Experience in crisis intervention and working with marginalized communities will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation package ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), professional liability insurance, and generous paid time off to promote work-life balance.
