Telemetry/Monitor Technician

Job Type: Full-Time, Nights

Schedule: 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), Rotating Weekends

How you'll contribute

A Telemetry/Monitor Technician who excels in this role:

Cardiac Monitor Technicians are responsible for utilizing telemetry monitoring equipment to simultaneously watch several patients' heart rhythms. Technicians observe, listen, respond to alarms, identify changes, and report changes to the nursing staff. Technicians also obtain measurements from the telemetry strips, and report abnormalities to nursing staff. On occasion this position will require work to be performed in areas that may be accessible to pharmaceuticals. 

This position will not be granted access to automated dispensing machines.

What we're looking for

 EDUCATION:

  • High school graduate or equivalent 

  • Completion of an orientation

  • Completion of telemetry interpretation competency

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer prior experience as a Monitor Tech, health care experience required.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE :

  • CNA, EMT-B, CRRT, Unit Secretary, LPN, OR RN - Preferred
