LHH is recruiting a Workers' Compensation Paralegal for the Cleveland Office of a national law firm. The Paralegal investigates facts, prepares documents to assist attorneys, a ssists with witness interviews, document productions, litigation holds, subpoenas (responding and issuing), and deposition preparation.
Responsibilities:
  • Investigates facts, and independently prepares documents to assist attorneys with matters
  • Summarizes complex legal documents
  • Organizes and indexes case files
  • Performs wide variety of data compilation with little or no supervision
  • Prepares reports, correspondence, declarations and complaints
  • Drafts a variety of legal documents
  • Prepares affidavits or documents and maintains document file
  • Prepares for mediations and trials
  • Assists Attorneys at trial
  • Assists Attorney in preparation for depositions
  • Communicates with witnesses and experts
  • Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner
Qualifications:
  • Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university
  • 6+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Live Note, Relativity, Case Map, Docketing, Document Management System, expense and billing systems
