Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo Live! Airport Lounges, North America is seeking a Service and Training Director of Premium Experiences supporting our portfolio of exclusive first-class lounges.  

This manager will be a hands-on leader, working during peak service hours and have the flexibility to travel (approximately 80%) across the country, as needed.

As the Service and Training Director, you will be responsible for developing and facilitating hands on training for the Sodexo Live! Airport Lounges frontline and managers in premium lounges, as directed by the Vice President of Premium Services. Ideal candidates will be comfortable leading and working in service and possess exemplary experience in: operational and people development, developing training guidelines and implementation, creating and executing standard operating procedures, with a focus in luxury food and beverage in a restaurant, event space, or hotel operation.

What You'll Do
  • Areas of focus will include, but are not limited to all aspects impacting the guest experience including but not limited to adult beverage knowledge/standards, technical steps of service skills, and other aspects that drive service excellence.
  • In addition, this role will be strategic by assisting in the concept development and preparation for RFP responses and will participate in experiential presentations to lead event coordination and service. In addition, this role will periodically attend portfolio business reviews, as requested, to help facilitate the experience and share segment training and hospitality philosophies.

What You Bring
  • Have experience with luxury/elevated food and beverage operations and training within volume hospitality/restaurants/hotels;
  • Function as the key driver in hospitality standards;
  • Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly)/management staff;
  • Have experience tracking regulatory metrics and unit training compliance;
  • Possess advanced technical knowledge; be tech-savvy; tracking online training completions and virtual operations manual;
  • Have excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Develop and innovate to promote improved performance within units;
  • Create and maintain collaborative relationships with segment leaders;
  • Monitor/maintain/manage finance and budget within established guidelines/parameters.

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
