Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive support for Workforce and Continuing Education scholarship and grant programs by processing student applications, assisting with eligibility and enrollment requirements, monitoring student progress and funding utilization, and serving as a key resource for scholarship-related inquiries. This position coordinates scholarship program operations, collaborates with internal departments to maintain application systems and procedures, and supports budget tracking, tuition payment processing, and administrative initiatives to ensure effective program delivery and student success.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Required Education
  • High School Diploma

Required Experience
  • Minimum of two years of student accounts, customer accounts, or scholarship related management experience
  • Experience working in financial or educational programs or environments

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Computer proficiency in a Windows-based PC environment, including MS Office and Excel
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors at all levels
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of several ongoing project
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Project or program management experience
  • Associate's degree

Hours per Week 20 General Weekly Work Schedule
General work schedule is up to 20 hours per week, to be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.; final schedule will be determined by the supervisor.
