Virtual Patrol Code Enforcement Specialist

Job Summary:
This position is a tech-forward role designed for a highly observant professional with a background in public safety. Unlike traditional field-based roles, the Virtual Patrol & Code Enforcement Specialist primarily monitors live and recorded camera feeds to detect and document municipal or property code violations. The officer utilizes "virtual patrolling" to identify non-compliance and reports violations and formal documentation. This position requires the investigative mindset of a law enforcement professional combined with the technical precision of modern surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Virtual Surveillance & Detection: Actively monitor camera feeds to identify non-compliance issues such as illegal dumping, unauthorized construction, safety hazards, vendor, and land-use violations.
  • Violation Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports regarding observed violations, ensuring all findings are documented with precision for administrative or legal action.
  • Targeted Verification: Utilize virtual monitoring to pinpoint exact locations of interest before deploying to the field for site-specific verification and data collection.
  • Evidence Documentation: Capture high-quality digital evidence and maintain detailed logs of virtual observations to support the issuance of citations.
  • Case Management: Build and manage digital case files from the moment of detection via camera through to final reporting and resolution.
